I get to be at work at 08:00 :P  I then get to spend ALL day in meetings that are not going to be the most exciting things I've ever been through.  After that I will be going to dinner that we are 'Strongly Encouraged' to attend.  "If you can not attend, please speak with <boss, boss, boss> to explain why you will be unable to make the dinner."

I do believe this means I'm moving up the ladder.

verdict.

Yesterday itself did not suck but it does appear to have been the kickoff of the suck.

The organizational structure is being changed and our department (along with several others) is being moved under a new level of management. I do not believe that a) this will solve what they think they're going to solve b) that the organization I'm in belongs under this new structure and c) that it is a good solution for the company.

The fact is, this is politics. Not just 'office politics' but 'real' politics. The kind with Senators and Governors and directly appointed staff.

I am now in the wait and see stage.
